The post office HATES me... but...

I have been sending out big piles of orders every week since the records arrived last month, and am happy that I have about 80% of the orders in the mail. I am gonna knock out another big pile this week, and should be all caught up by the end of next week.

To the people that ordered back in October - thanks for the patience through all of the pressing plant headaches/delays.

The orders are still coming in, which is great, and I will be getting those sent out in the order that they were placed. Most of the orders were placed in the first two days of pre-orders, and that was the hardest to get caught on... but I am almost there.

Pre-orders are shipping NOW!

The vinyl arrived last week, and I hopped on packing them up.

I took some to the Integrity show in Baltimore... which was a lot of fun, aside from the getting home at 5:30am.

I sent out a small batch of mailorders over the weekend, as well as another pile yesterday(Wednesday). There will be a big shipment on Saturday, and that should have the white vinyl orders taken care of, as well as some of the blue vinyl will be on their way too.

Jeff Terranove from Up Front does a great radioshow in CT called the Anti-Emo Empire, and he interviewed me on January 8th for the show. We talked at length about the book, as well as exchanged lots of thoughts/opinions about a variety of other things. It was fun, and I appreciate the chance to plug the book too. One of the bands on the Adult Crash 7" have a new release coming out. Cloak/Dagger have a new 7" coming out on Jade Tree Records... and you should buy it! They also mentioned my book onthe JT site(thanks dudes!).

Finally... some GOOD news to report!

I just got off the phone with the pressing plant this morning... and after 3 months... the records are getting pressed this week!

I should have them next week - which means orders will start shipping next week too!

So many delays... so many headaches... but it's finally coming together!

Thanks again for all of your patience to the pre-order folks... it as never meant to take this long.

I will be sending everyone an email when their package ships... but wanted to post this really quick - since it was finally some good news.

Ordering update... November 28th, 2008

Just a quick update on the book/7" status, since some people have been asking lately.

The record pressing plant was a lot more bogged down than they originally seemed to indicate, so my job has not been pressed yet. I have been told it will get done 'soon' & am hopeful this will be the case.

The books are done, and are currently in self-storage awaiting the vinyl arrival. As soon as I get them, the orders will start going out immediately. I will also be delivering the vinyl & books to Six Feet Under Records, so he can ship his orders as well.

We still have about 1/2 of the blue vinyl at the moment, but they are selling steadily. The white vinyl is 100% gone - selling out the morning the pre-ordering started.

For those of you living under a rock, the Radio Silence book is out, and would make a great addition to your bookshelf of quality reading material. You can read about it here. It is one of the best looking books about hardcore I have ever owned, and you should run out and buy it(if you have not already done so). They gave my book a nice plug on their site, and I really appreciate it.

I am hoping to have the records before Christmas, and will update this blog as it gets closer to arrival. I will be doing some sort of record release show, as well as a book signing, once the book/7" is out... and I will post here when the information presents itself. For as many headaches/delays that the book had - I thought things would be smooth & simple for the records getting pressed - boy, was I wrong. I have been putting out records for almost 20 years, and this is easily the slowest service I have ever gotten from a plant. Part of the problem is the fact that there are so few pressing plants even around anymore. And now that some major labels have started pressing vinyl again - the plants are extra busy.
