Ordering update... November 28th, 2008

Just a quick update on the book/7" status, since some people have been asking lately.

The record pressing plant was a lot more bogged down than they originally seemed to indicate, so my job has not been pressed yet. I have been told it will get done 'soon' & am hopeful this will be the case.

The books are done, and are currently in self-storage awaiting the vinyl arrival. As soon as I get them, the orders will start going out immediately. I will also be delivering the vinyl & books to Six Feet Under Records, so he can ship his orders as well.

We still have about 1/2 of the blue vinyl at the moment, but they are selling steadily. The white vinyl is 100% gone - selling out the morning the pre-ordering started.

For those of you living under a rock, the Radio Silence book is out, and would make a great addition to your bookshelf of quality reading material. You can read about it here. It is one of the best looking books about hardcore I have ever owned, and you should run out and buy it(if you have not already done so). They gave my book a nice plug on their site, and I really appreciate it.

I am hoping to have the records before Christmas, and will update this blog as it gets closer to arrival. I will be doing some sort of record release show, as well as a book signing, once the book/7" is out... and I will post here when the information presents itself. For as many headaches/delays that the book had - I thought things would be smooth & simple for the records getting pressed - boy, was I wrong. I have been putting out records for almost 20 years, and this is easily the slowest service I have ever gotten from a plant. Part of the problem is the fact that there are so few pressing plants even around anymore. And now that some major labels have started pressing vinyl again - the plants are extra busy.

Thanks for all of your patience(to those that pre-ordered), and spread the word about I book too! Thanks! DB

ORDERING INFO... finally!!!

Okay, now that the records are getting pressed & the books have already arrived... you can now PRE-ORDER the ADULT CRASH book/7" package!
I will notify everyone when the records have arrived from the plant, so that you will know that your order is getting shipped soon after that.

The pressing info is as follows:
150x WHITE VINYL ***SOLD OUT***
350x BLUE VINYL (mailorder version) ***SOLD OUT***
1000x BLACK VINYL (regular version) ***SOLD OUT***

The white vinyl is now SOLD OUT! Six Feet Under Records & I both sold out of our copies within hours of starting the pre-order process! Thanks to those that have ordered, and we both still have limited BLUE VINYL, as well as BLACK vinyl. (and now, EVERY VERSION IS ALSO *SOLD OUT*)

The buttons next to each image will take you to Paypal, and each has a pull-down menu to select where you want it shipped.

(removed Paypal/ordering link)

You can also order thru Six Feet Under Records. SFU Records is starting pre-orders the same time I am, but Dave Sausage will be on-tour with Blacklisted until almost Thanksgiving. I will begin shipping orders placed through me as soon as the records are back from the pressing plant.

***If you do not have a Paypal account, you can still order from me***
Mail money orders(payable to DAVE BROWN) or well-concealed cash to:
VICIOUS CIRCLE RECORDS
attn DAVE BROWN
P.O. BOX 17365
RICHMOND, VA 23226 USA
(if you do not use Paypal, you may miss out on the color vinyl versions... but if we still have them when we get your payment, you'll get the rarest version we have in-stock)

Delays... of course.

The books are here, arriving a week ago and currently locked up in self-storage. They look awesome too!

The master is at the pressing plant... but... the records will not be done nearly as soon as I had hoped. I am hoping the lacquer will be cut next week, and test presses sent out soon after. If all goes right, I am hoping to have the finished records back from the pressing plant in mid-November. 'Hoping' is the crucial word here, as we all know that things can happen.

So instead of starting to take pre-orders on October 1st... It was decided to push back the pre-order process until the 16th of October. This way we'll have a better idea of a pressing plant schedule, and can pass along this info to everyone as we find out more.

There will be a very easy-to-use cart button on the Vicious Circle Records MySpace page to make the pre-order process as simple as possible.

Thanks again for your patience... and more updates soon...

Details... and then some!

Okay... so here are some more details about the ADULT CRASH photobook that is coming out next month... details which have been kept a secret for the most part until now...

This is an 88 page photobook, over 400 photos taken during the last 20 years by me...

AND it comes with a 7" of 'newer' bands that are in the book doing cover songs of 'old' bands that are also in the book...
DOWN TO NOTHING covering 'Price Of Silence' by Four Walls Falling with guest vocals by TAYLOR from 4 Walls...
KILL YOUR IDOLS covering 'The Edge' by Token Entry...
THE SLUMLORDS covering 'Right Wing Hype' by Gut Instinct with guest vocals from Sab from Gut Instinct...
CLOAK/DAGGER covering 'Escape from Your Society' by WarZone...

All 4 songs are EXCLUSIVE to this release... and are the final recordings from KYI & The Slumlords, recorded just prior to them breaking up.

AND also included in the book are anecdotes written just for my book by John Joseph(The Cro-Mags), Chaka Malik(Burn), Paul Bearer(Sheer Terror), Shawn Brown(Swiz), Taylor Steele(4 Walls Falling), Malcolm Tent(Trash American Style), Rob Fish(Release/108), Walter Schreifels(Gorilla Biscuits/Quicksand), Jon Field(Up Front), Jeff Perlin(Breakdown/Slumlords), and many others! Each person talks about surviving the adult crash of grown up life while still loving this music they grew up as fans of, and every one is great!

This book is a split release with my label, Vicious Circle Records, and my friend Dave at Six Feet Under Records.

This has been a multi-year project for me, and I am VERY excited it is finally coming out!

We will be announcing pre-orders later this month, and there will be a special version for pre-order folks, as well as a mailorder version too. You'll be able to get it from the regular distros as well as some stores... but to get colored vinyl you'll have to order from either me or Dave/SFU.
